About Crimson Hill Books

Take three voracious readers who are:

Jacquelyn – a former teacher, business writer and newspaper and magazine editor who is Publisher of Crimson Hill Books.

Wayne – a former project manager, adult-education teacher and marketer who is happiest juggling spreadsheets and selling books.

Jesse – a graphic designer and ace layout and format artist who also builds our computers and keeps them humming.

Then, put these three together in one big sunny space.

The result is Crimson Hill Books – a small and proudly-independent publisher of fiction and non-fiction based in Nova Scotia, Canada.

We create books we are proud to place in the hands of readers. Our kids’ books are all clean and family-friendly, reflecting modern values. We believe the best way to make learning happen – at any age – is to make it fun.

While we do most tasks in-house, we do occasionally hire artists with a fresh perspective to illustrate our books, such as Kaitlin Bauer, an astonishing young artist whose passion for showing animals in their natural setting drew us to her work. See it in The Complete Bearded Dragon Care Book.

We publish books in English for readers world-wide:

  • Non-fiction for middle school readers ages 8-12 or from grades 4-8.
  • Business, self-help and lifestyle books for adults.
